We have experienced many fun times and memorable moments at the Moondance Inn. Some of the best have been sharing time with families who have rented the entire home. This group consisted of Mothers, daughters, granddaughters, and grand daughters in-law. They were a fun group to be with and we appreciate the photo’s they sent.

The grand entrance to the Moondance Inn. As this entrance leads to so much more the city of Red Wing serves in much the same way. It is a beautiful, historic town on the banks of the Mississippi. It stands alone as a great destination but it also is a gateway to the entire Mississippi Valley that includes the Great River Road, Lake Pepin, numerous vineyards, bike trails, restaurants, hiking, golf, and so much more. Plan a fall get away. Stay with us at the Moondance Inn and enjoy all Red Wing has to offer.

Think Mississippi River. History, colorful characters, river towns all come to mind. A couple that stayed with us at the Moondance Inn rented kayaks and were professionally guided through the flooded backwater forests. This was the picture they took at sunset. This photo speaks volumes as to the beauty and majesty of this great river. Red Wing and the surrounding country side is filled with such natural wonders. If you would like to take this tour contact http://brokenpaddleguiding.com/. This great getaway is only an hour from the Twin Cities or Rochester.

The Bayside Tap and Steakhouse serves perfectly prepared steak dinners at very reasonable prices. A guest at the Moondance ordered this 32oz. beauty. Wow. They have much smaller steaks, great Ahi tuna, and other tasty dishes. We highly recommend.20160319_195121_resized
