The Red Wing, Minnesota Holiday Stroll is such a wonderful event. If you like the idea of a turn-of-the-century Christmas with carolers, roasted chestnuts, fireworks, and so much more, then you want to visit Red Wing the day after Thanksgiving.
In addition to many outdoor events, all the downtown shops and restaurants are open and you can find many unique gifts for the holiday season.
Red Wing will celebrate the opening of the Red Wing Shoe Museum on Tuesday, July 27th. The “World’s Largest Work Boot,” made by Red Wing Shoes to celebrate their 100th anniversary, will be on display.
River City Days, a community festival held at Bay Point Park on the Mississippi River, begins Friday and runs through the weekend. Live music, an antique car show, food, and rides are available.
Hobgoblin Music will host Blues in the Barn on Saturday. This should be a great concert with several different performers and groups.
Red Wing, MN will host some great groups starting July 24th. Listen to Jambo while sitting on a grassy lawn on the Mississippi River. Have a great dinner at The Norton’s Restaurant and listen to Bruce Jackson and the Moondogs. If mid-week in open for you, sit under the stars in central park and listen to the Back Channel Blues band on Wednesday night, July 22.
Stay at the Moondance Inn on any of these nights and we will give you a $30.00 discount on any available room.
The Moondance Inn serves dessert at breakfast on weekends. Yum. But Red Wing offers much more in terms of dining. For example, check out The Norton’s Downtown & The Crazy Cat Lounge, The Staghead, Jimmy’s Pub at the St. James Hotel, Fiesta Mexicana, The Harbor Bar for Jamaican food, Bev’s Cafe for down home cooking, and the list goes on. If you travel on your tummy then Red Wing is a great stop.
